I love riding my bike down this path. it's the quickest way to get to the woods if you live in farmingdale. I've posted the massapequa preserve many times on this blog. it's an easy place to visit and I always find something new. my last post of the preserve was here where you may notice a definite absence of the color green. a lot changes in nature in just one month. thinking of the floods in nashville and the oil spill in the gulf, I feel exceptionally grateful our little piece of paradise is preserved, at least for today.

It's always so heartening to find wild nature in the midst of urbanization.
love this!
Yes nice place to ride a bike :)
Oh, Lily, this is just gorgeous. Would I ever love to walk/bike/toodle along there.
A great track to cycle or walk Lilly.
Costas
Amen to that.
Lovely place, it would be so peaceful to ride or stroll there. I am happy to get the chance through your blog to see the opposite coast, we really are quite alike in many ways.
This is just beautiful. I can see why you'd like to ride there. Love those greens!
Wonderful composition!
What a beautiful place, so green and lush. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog.:)
What an inviting image, Lily!
This is beautiful, Lily! Can you believe I grew up in Massapequa and have never been here? (On the other hand, my dad used to run here every day.) Thanks for sharing this image!
