another one of my favorite flowers though quite a challenge to photograph since, like the dandelions I shot the other day, it was hard to catch them still. it has been very breezy here again lately. mother nature has been busy blowing all the seedlings around planting things for summer. speaking of which, today is mother's day here in the united states. so happy mothers day to all of you moms out there! I hope you enjoy your day and I also hope you realize how important you are.

I love the colours in your shot, lovely shadows.
Forget-me-nots are common in song and poetry, but not so common around here. Such a lovely portrait of them. Makes me want to plant some.
They are such pretty little flowers and I can totally relate to how hard they are to photograph. They are always moving in the wind.
Great capture!
What a beautiful flowers. I love its color...
It's my first visit from here. I am from Mashhd-Iran and I have 2 photo blog from my city , The old version and the new one. Glad to see your blog :)

Lovely! Don't you just love the name of these flowers? It would be a fun job to be a 'flower namer' :)
Oh yes, the wind is not our friend when shooting flowers! Grrrr!
No problem re your double link. Deleted the whacky one. Happy Mothers Day to you and enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
Happy Mother's day to you to !What a beautiful and colorful shot !!Loved the post !!
I like these flowers i have them too around my backyard
When to the flower so beautiful
The Father gave a name,
Back came a little blue-eyed one--
All timidly it came;
And, standing at the Father's feet,
And gazing in his face,
It said with meek and gentle voice,
Yet with a timid grace,
"Dear Lord, the name thou gavest me,
Alas! I have forgot."
The Father kindly looked on it,
And said, "Forget-me-not."

Such a sweet flower.
Absolutely beautiful!
I think you did a wonderful job of capturing these sweet flowers. But you're right about the wind—it's been pretty fierce around here!
Happy Mother's Day to you!

Lily, what a lovely little flower, do you know the name of it? Oh I just saw the name "forget me nots" Is that it? :)
Flowers are hard to get right even when the wind isn't blowing...but you did a great job here! Did you set your camera to shutter-priority?
Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day! Such a lovely photo - the flowers look so fragile, serene, and... almost fake! XD
Beautiful photo...great patience with the wind I'm sure.
Happy Mother's Day!
So that's what these are! Tell me, are they the same as I have on my banner? Go see! I love their blue.
Lily thanks for stopping by my Sunday Sketch - yes I am the mother of 4 and grandmother of 9.
You got them! Sometimes when I am trying to catch a limb or a stem in the not so still air, I use my other hand to steady it out of frame ... but you got it perfectly .. and a lovely shallow depth of field as well
I love these forget me nots. They are gorgeous and your photo is awesome!
I love forget me nots, but have had no luck trying to photograph them. Yours are absolutely delightful!
Beautiful! I love these flowers - the blue petals and yellow centers.
