this was taken at the farmingdale train station the morning after our last big snow. I'm glad I caught some pretty shadows here, we've had nothing but grey skies and rain the last couple of days. not that I'm complaining - I've never been happier to see some rain! if you'd like to see more shadows or if you want to join in the fun, please visit hey harriet'sshadow shot sunday meme. a big thank you to tracy for hosting shadow shot sunday.
With all that snow, it looks like going by foot is the best way to go!
SILLY SHADOW DITTY
Shadows may or may not be Patterns of urbanity. If a shadow threatens you, Here, my dear, is what to do: Grab the shadow by the throat, Toss it to a billy goat, So the goat can chomp and chew, Keeping it away from you!
It is beautiful, but have to admit that I'm glad it's somewhere besides here in Seattle!! We've still gray, grim and gloomy, but while it's uncomfortably chilly, it isn't that cold. Hope you get a little warmer weather soon, Lily!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
amazing photo...so reminds me of the era of the 50's when there was so much snowstorms around, from what my mom tells me. if anything it looks peaceful but I am ready for spring!!
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Don't you just love the clean snow after a storm, before it turns to muddy slush? :)

the sun on the snow is pretty yet I'm thinking shovel folks shovel
Wonderful photo, I love the way that snow seems to make shadows so much crisper.
Beautiful - I FEEL the cold!!
Freshly fallen snow is quite beautiful, but that's the only nice thing I can say about it!
I agree, Lily, that the rain has been welcomed the past few storms. We had enough snow to last us for the rest if the winter.
Enjoy the Super Bowl tonight!
Very pretty shadow shot! And I love the colour of the sky.
We are still in the more snow mode. How many more days 'til spring?
you certainly did catch some pretty shadows. ;-)
