My New Wallpaper...Ho Ho Ho

The weird border is part of my television sets frame - I shot this photo from my TV during the tree lighting ceremony. I like the colors and giant snowflake designs projected onto the building behind it. I have much better photos of Rockefeller Center here with this one being my favorite.
Have a merry weekend everyone.

More scenes from Wickenden Street

I love Wickenden Street in Providence. It still has the cultural buzz of college atmosphere without the crazy vibe of popular frenetic Thayer Street. This holiday decorated door is the entrance to (as well as outside view of) Amy's - a place I never fail to visit whenever I am in Providence.

Christmas Cactus and Reflections in Providence

Christmas-Cactus-On-Wickenden-Street-in-Providence

Almost one year ago to this very day, I shot this Christmas Cactus on Wickenden Street in Providence. Funny sentence eh? I've shared winter orchids form this same florist earlier this year here.
If you are experiencing a very rainy and overcast day like I am, maybe this photo will help brighten up your evening.

Last Thanksgiving #tbt

My mom made this for our family and it was delicious. And, is it just me, or does Thanksgiving already feel like a month ago?

Still Life with Apples and a Pot of Primroses ca. 1890

Check out these apples (ha ha) by the master Paul Cézanne. I was standing in a room that was filled to the brim with the likes of Seurat, Picasso & Vincent van Gogh and yes those artist's paintings were amazing, but the use of color in this one made it jump off the wall. According to The MET, Claude Monet once owned this painting.

Something for your listening pleasure

I always knew this movie as "March of the Wooden Soldiers". Listening to this music is like being transported to my childhood.

Christmas is Coming

I am looking forward to Christmas though I am not even remotely close to being ready! If the above guy looks familiar, it is because I posted a similar photo two years ago here.
