doesn't this house remind you of a barn? it never used to be red. I think the owners had a vision when they recently put up the new siding on this house. and I have to say, I think it was a great idea to redo this house in red. don't you?

What is it about red as as colour for barns. It does look more like a barn on the high street. Very eye catching.

Its striking, I will give you that but it really doesnt remind me of a barn ... when I was young I dreamt of living in a converted barn .... how I ended up living in a brownstone apartment I will never know ... I kid; I know ...

while passing this house on Saturday night we both commented on how they must have sold off their land behind them and on the side (2 hours were built) so that they could refinish this house. It seems out of place if you ask me and now has NO YARD.

Hi Lily, It looks really cool but for some reason my first thought was old school house. It also reminds me of barn.
Regarging the arch that you asked about in my Ben Franklin bridge post, I don't know but it looks like it could be support for an old bridge that got torn down.
What I do know is it has a painted sign that says something like "welcome to Penn's Landing"

I love the red nd white combunatin, just because it is usually seen on barns does not meanit is not ftting for houses. I absoltely love the Swedish red.
