this was around 9am yesterday at the starbuck's parking lot in farmingdale. the long island railroad was running late and traffic was nonexistent. by the early afternoon the main roads were mostly clear but many of the side roads were still covered with snow. how was your commute yesterday?
I'm so very grateful I don't have to commute to work any more. I did it for a zillion years, at least. My favorite winter, however, was one when I had all the power, apparently. I was nervous about my 45-minute commute to the city, and I was working nights, so I bought four (4) studded (yes) snow tires. There was not a single flake of snow in or near Vancouver, BC, that winter. Everyone at work thanked me. Studded snows are probably illegal now, or I would suggest you try it. It's never too late. -- K

You're the third East Coast blog I've checked this a.m. and it's snow all over! Selfishly, glad it's over there....and it makes excellent photos, like yours!
I do not need to commute anymore, but if I did it would have been easy. You do have a ton of snow there and it is beautiful, makes me shiver to see it though. Stay Warm.
