babylon village boat house

is it just me or is this photo a little off kilter? either way I couldn't resist posting this - I never knew there were boathouses in babylon. this makes me wonder how many more we have here on long island.

Maybe just a tad off, but not enough to worry about! Great shot as always, Lily! Hope you have a great week! Enjoy!

I don't know if it's off kilter, but I do like it! It's a really neat boathouse, and if I look at that beautiful, deep water long enough, I do feel a wee bit seasick. :)

Very nice boathouse, and yes it is a bit off kilter. I imported it into my iPhoto program and straightened it out. It was of by 1.8 degrees. Not much but enough to notice. By the way the iPhoto is a cool program; nothing like photoshop but it can help make images better. I do enjoy your blog Lily.

Super boathouse, and the water is only running uphill in one direction. LOL
Nice photo. I love boats and boathouses.

PS -- I agree with Joanna about iPhoto. I don't need all the bells and whistles of Photoshop, I'm not working at this, I'm enjoying it, so iPhoto is perfect. I can crop and straighten (if I want to, not all the time) and remove red-eye from my favorite people and leave it in my least favorite people. Fun.

Just a bit off, but not to worry. I tilted my laptop and it was then just fine! :)

I always liked the idea of a boathouse.

What great light, it makes things seem so calm, so green ...

Listing just a bit to port, so to speak. Don't worry unless it begins to leak! I feel like there used to be lots of boathouses on LI, but don't see them much anymore (maybe you have to pay taxes on a boathouse and we know those are high enough already).

We are all off kilter, a little!

Mm. What is with me and water these days? When I see a picture of water and boats, my eyes jump. But I have lived in Kansas most of my life. My great grandfather was a sailor by profession. Maybe my blood is just filled with vikings or something.
