shadows on 7th avenue

this was the view from the coffee shop I ate at while in manhattan the other day. the architectural details on the building were highlighted by the sun and shadows. within minutes everything changed as the sun made its way across the sky.
please visit  hey harriet's,  'shadow shot sunday'  meme if you want to join in the fun or if you'd like to see more shadows. & a big thank you to tracy for hosting shadow shot sunday.

Oh, I love it. That lamp in the foreground is just what it needed. Great.

I love the window's shadows and the way you can see reflections in the windows and of the light in the cafe's window all in one picture. GREAT shot!! Thanks for sharing!!

Delightful how the shadows define the outline of the facade's features! Great photo!

I love those decorative tiles of the animals - such a charming detail in an otherwise very sophisticated building!

Chasing shadows here and there,
Chasing shadows everywhere;
Chasing shadows in the park;
Chasing shadows long past dark;
Chasing shadows through the light;
Chasing shadows day and night—
Shadow-chaser, don’t you see?
Shadows were just meant to be!

nicely done!
like the framing very much. Something about it 'works'.
