melville florist

I was stuck in traffic while driving along route 110 when I noticed this sign. I'd love to know how old it is. lucky for me traffic was at a standstill so I could take its picture.

It is a sign oozing with character and history; nice find! I love the busy reflections in the window.
You know I love this kind of post.

Fabulous. I'd guess the 1950s but it could be as early as the 40s or as late as the 60s.
Great photo. Glad you found a handy traffic jam!

wow, this looks rather old indeed, Lily.
I really love old signs. They have such character.

Lily, I'd like to congratulate you for you outstanding work. Or hobby. Or both. Really, you manage to make simple things look like something much more - like this sign. Very nice, thank you for sharing this with us!

My first thought was that's an old sign looks very 1950s .. good catch!
Lily, lily lily....loved hearing from you today!! Hope you are well & enjoy the beginnings of summer! LOVE this sign - what a great one! So glad they didn't replace it...we're always so sad when businesses replace things like this - thanks for stopping by :)

Seems like more thought and creativity was put in signs in the past. PGma

I was going to say pretty much what Kay L. Davies said: 1940s or '50s. And I'd like to second Jimmy's comment!

Alas, I passed this florist yesterday, and it is now CLOSED. A shame.
