The American Oystercatcher and Black Beach Sand

 I came across this guy while walking at Robert Moses beach. He was the only American Oystercatcher standing quite still amongst a flock of very busy Seagulls. I'm sorry I can't say where the black sand beach pictured below is. The colors in each of these photos compliment each other so nicely it just seemed natural to post them together.
