We Will Never Forget

Stunned with an upswell of emotion I stood in awe of this deeply moving memorialI tried to reflect on the enormity of exactly what had happened here 13 years ago. Ian and I arrived in lower Manhattan Sunday morning and noticed groups of people making their way to the Freedom tower and much like Pilgrims, we followed. The feeling in the air was palpable, in one way or another most of those present have lived through the events of 9/11 together.
We will never forget.

Was here with out-of-town visitors on July 4th weekend—I know what you mean about a palpable feeling. Everyone was fairly subdued and yet there was a lot of energy. I hope the families of the victims like the memorial (I think it's beautiful).
