maximus, a long island beauty salon

notice anything odd about this picture? when you first look at it, this salon looks empty. upon closer inspection a very observant person can see there are a bunch of people reflected in the mirrors.
I don't know, maybe that's not so odd. maybe it's more odd that the beauty salon is busy on a sunday, especially in this economic climate.

whatever the case may be, please go here and scroll down katney's side bar if you'd like to see more "odd" shots. thanks katney!
here's wishing you all have a great week everyone.

It looks like a very comfortable and functional beauty salon.

Very nice shot. It is deceiving, but when you enlarge it, the people are plainly visible.

Wow, I did enlarge it! What a complicated photo this is, but so very interesting. It is just full of images! Lovely.

I've always been fascinated by beauty salons. Here we have hairdressing salons and just occasionally one can have other things done, like manicures but usually these things are separate. Do yours do everything - massage, manicures/pedicures, waxing, make up, as well as hair?

"They do it with mirrors" - let us just hope that it is not the Agatha Christie version...

One of the quieter, more mangeable Long Island malls (once you circumvent the traffic), The Source is a great place to spend a rainy day...even with a five year old who loves the carousel and train ride located on the lower level. Personally, I never understood the whole upscale salon thing, but it's always crowded everytime we walk past. Nice Pic!
Morty!

p.s.
I commented on your recent Bond pic a couple of days late. I'm finally coming out of lurkdom after a thankfully busy couple of days in the office. As always, feel free to pop your head in :)

Gotta look good, no matter the circumstances. ;-) I know a lot of salons that are open on Saturday and Sunday and closed on Monday.
