christmas reflections

it's hard to believe another holiday season is upon us. this was taken the day before thanksgiving in manhattan. we had a quick lunch at this hotel's coffee shop and noticed many people talking about the parade. meanwhile christmas wreaths among other festive decorations were already up and ready, anticipating the holiday season.
if you'd like to see more reflections or add your own to the mix, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks james!

Cold but bright. Perfect for shopping!
Nice photo! That window was really clear.

We had a great time at the parade, Lily! It was a long time since I had a chance to go -- I'm glad you liked my photos!

Terrific capture as always, Lily! Such crystal clear reflections! And, yes, it is hard to believe that the season truly is upon us and the older I get, the faster they fly! Have a wonderful weekend!

Nothing like Christmas time in NYC, great shot.
Looks like you and James had the same idea! I imagine the 'we' is you and your daughter - those kinds of reflections are irresistable and wonderful!

Hi Oakland, yes it was a perfect day because it was still warm outside - unlike today which feels pretty chilly!

Thanks Pat!

Hi Michelle, I totally agree.
: )
Sylvia, you always say the nicest things, thank you very much. & it is so true about time - I always seem to notice time speeding by at the end of the year for some reason. I just want to know, why doesn't it ever pass by quickly when I'm on a diet?

Hi Cezar & Leia, thanks for stopping by.

Greensboro, I thought they looked cute too.

Thanks Joo, & thanks for stopping by too.

Hi Jan & Jer!

Hi Margaret, nope that's not me- if it were it would be my son & I! I took this picture & was just lucky to get these two as they walked by.
I was with my husband grabbing a quick lunch before a show. We were pressed for time since my son was home sick with a cold & we didn't want to stay away from him too long but it all worked out & he is nearly all better.

It reminds me of going to downtown Los Angeles with my parents to see the Christmas decorations. Downtown LA has faded but Manhattan remains the center of the universe.

I'm back from Italy (where they're just starting to decorate for Christmas). Just went back to see what you've been up to in the meantime—lots of great images, of course. And a great reflection here!

I like the odd in this picture : the mum and the little girl seem to become an man and his son in the reflection... Nice catch !
