the effects of daylight saving time at 5pm...

only 43 more days until the days begin to get longer! that is what I kept telling myself as I drove home early last evening and noticed how dark it was at 5pm. to share a part of your world or just see more of others, please go to "that's my world tuesday". a big thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, and sylvia.

You're right. I was out at 4pm and could almost feel the darkness sneaking up on me. My dog isn't happy, either, because she knows what time she gets fed, and now she has to wait. I'm making her wait 10 minutes longer each day until we're back on schedule.
I like your picture of driving in the darkness, though!

Oh, it's the same way here in Seattle!! And the dogs are confused and start pestering me early with the "where's dinner?" look. Great capture, Lily, we're all turning on the lights earlier and earlier whether at home or in the car! Hope you have a great week -- in spite of the short days!!

One feels more at ease when coming back home when its dark already than when coming back home in summer and the sun is still high in the sky.

I hate this time of the year because of the dark. Just getting light when I leave, and then dark almost when I come home. Excellent representative post.

Great picture. The darkness getting up in the morning and the early darkness in the evening is what I dislike the most about winter.

It isn't quite that dark here in SeMo at 5, but I know what you mean!

I can do 43 days! And it's even less now that I'm catching up on the blog! I do love winter, snow, Christmas, etc, but man do I miss the sun!
