sunrise over route 110 in farmingdale

luckily I was able to get this sunrise wednesday morning before all the rain started.
it's hard to believe it's the fifth of november already. another year is coming to a close and winter is headed our way. at least this weekend we get to set the clocks back. I always feel well rested for a few days whenever we gain that extra hour.
if you'd like to gaze at more wondrous skies from all around the world or if you'd like to add your own sky, please visit the skywatch friday meme, thanks to klaus and his team, sandy, wren, and sylvia.

That's a beauty, Lily! I wonder how many NYC marathoners are going to forget to "fall back" and will show up at the starting line an hour early. :~}

Wonderful morning shot, so peaceful.
Brilliant sunrise, despite some rain clouds brewing at the back.
Love the vibrant red of the salvia c.
It grows along my driveway, always seeds and provides a fiery display.
