manhattan reflections

I don't think I've ever been in this part of the city when it isn't deluged with cars and people.
at 11 pm, the theatre district in manhattan is so lit up and so crowded it almost looks like it's in the middle of the afternoon, a weird sensation when you've just come from inside a darkened theatre.

if you'd like to see more reflections or join in the fun, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks james!

I can't even imagine this place empty. The pedestrian is going to wait even longer for that limo to pass!

And walking sometimes feels as if you are swimming upstream against the current .. no one walks staying to their right ... it makes getting anywhere in a hurry impossible ... well captured!

Fantastic timing! And SO colorful...
Exactly the kind of image that makes NYC seem so exciting. Love the elongated reflection in the stretch limo.

great shot, Lily! But clearly you see what I mean when I complain about Times Square. Actually, I'd like to think that the white stretch limo is full of high-school seniors on their way to their prom.

Alexa, I know exactly what you mean, hordes of people walking slowly with their heads looking up, not really paying attention to the traffic around them!
I remember feeling as if I should avoid this place as much as possible when I used to work in Manhattan but now that I primarily go there to see a show, I am not in any hurry to leave. It's easy to take lots of pictures of a place like this!
Awesome shot and it captured the energy of the city nicely.
