fresh red velvet and east coast earthquakes

Fresh-Baked-Red-Velvet-and-East-Coast-Earthquakes

I guess by now everyone who lives on the east coast has heard a story from at least one of their friends about where they were and what they were doing when the earthquake hit tuesday afternoon. I was sitting down in a chair in a meeting with two other people, one of the two felt it & the other thought we were both crazy since she didn't feel anything. many people thought they were just dizzy or disoriented before realizing it was something outside themselves. I'm just glad it turned out to be nothing serious!

today is abc wednesday and today's letter is f. if you like fresh baked goods, please visit the peter pan donut and pastry shop on manhattan avenue in brooklyn to sample some of these extremely fresh red velvet cupcakes. otherwise, please visit abc wednesday and join in the fun.

When did red velvet become the cake du jour? I'm seeing it everywhere.

Glad your earthquake was not much of a ride.

Me again. Right after leaving my comment we had an earthquake that really jolted the house. Weird timing, no?

Great shot! I was in a meeting on the 24th floor, in our brand new office. It was the youngest person in the room who piped up, "Does everyone else feel the room moving??" (I was glad to learn it was an earthquake and that our new building doesn't just shake for no reason!)

Oh, I want one really badly now....they look so good. Must say though that the red velvet looks pretty, but doesn't taste so good...and all that red coloring. But I'd have one anyway. --I've been witness to a couple of earthquakes here and in California.
My house was undulating up and down, Lily, so it really scared me and all my neighbors. We all ran out into the street! A friend who lives 3 miles away didn't feel it. So strange.

The cupcakes looks soooo good!

ha, exactly! I thought I was having some kind of brain issue. Thank goodness it was minor.
