All American

Sorry again for my lack of posting. We are renovating part of our home and unfortunately it seems to be interfering with my blogging life. We have no kitchen left to speak of so we've been ordering take-out for the last three nights. I'm not one for eating out so much, so yesterday I went to Costco and bought a fancy toaster oven. I also need to get my crock-pot fired up too. I'm not sure what I'll make in it since I've never used one before but it's got to be better than take-out every night.

This place seems to attract only men. Must be serving red meat.

Crockpots are great for soups and stews, but can also roast an inexpensive roast, surrounded with potatoes and onions and maybe turnips, or perhaps you'd prefer a chicken.
Puddings and cakes can also be made in crockpots.

Hi Lily! Renovation can be a big pain, but you'll be so happy when it's all over.

Looks as though this is a popular spot what with all those people waiting.

Note that I've dropped my pen name, Jacob, and have reverted to my given name, Lowell.

Is it anything like the Shake Shack in the city? Just tried that for the first time. Loved it!
