I pass by so many abandoned businesses and homes here on long island it can be depressing-so I try not to focus on them. lately though, I am starting to see them in a different light. this one I thought was perfect for mellow yellow monday. to see more mellow yellow, please visit drowsey monkey over at mellow yellow monday.

It's not all the time we see some yellow at the road. Sure the color catches ones attention though it's abandoned.

It is a shame that people are forced, for whatever reason, to abandon their business...

I agree with the mellow yellow, but it seems like a sad building just sitting there deteriorating...

I was reading your description of Long Island - I had no idea it was 118 miles long! No wonder the name!

Lily, it's easy to make "pretty stuff" look nice and interesting, but you have the ability to compose great shots using ordinary street scenes. This could inspire a painting or a quilt design.
