7th avenue

I'm thinking most long islanders or former island people know exactly where this is. the first hint is the address. does anyone recognize this part of manhattan? there are many clues in the photo as well of course. I wish this photo came out the way I would have liked but I neglected to turn off my flash. the lights were so bright the entire street was lit up. it would have been so much cooler sans flash but I still like the scene regardless. I'll do a comparison shot same time of day and place the next time I am in manhattan so you can see the difference.

This is in front of Penn Station. Walk by it every work day.

I think it's a nice photo. It came out well. I haven't been down here in a while -- 34th Street. I think I see the post office on the right. Macy's should be close by. I see the hotel, too. I don't remember its name, though. Hotel P... ;-)

That's the main intersection in front of Penn Station, right across from the Fuse building.

I cross at this very intersection at the end of every work day. Sad to think that within a couple of months I'll be doing it in darkness. Where did the Summer go?

Yes! It is directly in front of Penn Station.
Thanks & hello Paz. I think it is the Hotel Pennsylvania.

Arnold, the signage on the Fuse building is pretty cool too.

You're so right Morty, it creeps up on us all I think. At least we'll start to get longer days at the end of December again, right when we need it the most.

I work in the Fuse Bldg. I recognize it from the Entourage billboard that went up recently!

Wooow! I live in NYC and I didn't even recognize the place. I thought it was Times Square but I knew that wasn't on 7th Avenue.

*hides face in shame*
