santa claus on main street

well he's actually on conklin street but main street is right around the corner. every year the fire department in the village of farmingdale drives santa around so he can wave hello to all of the children in the neighborhood. they usually do this two weeks before christmas. you can always hear them coming because they blare the fire sirens and as they get closer you hear christmas music too. if you open your front door santa's helpers will hand deliver your youngsters a candy cane too. it's really quite nice, this farmingdale tradition.
