the magic shop

this is the inside of the only magic shop I could find in nassau county when my son was heavily into magic. recently I found my way back here after finding every party city on long island devoid of fangs. I should have called here first. not only do they sell magic tricks and apparatus for magicians, they sell all types of attire for those who like to dress up in costume. & the fangs I purchased for ian, they looked just like the real thing - which is important when you are dressing up as a vampire.

Now THAT'S a face I wouldn't want to find on the pillow next to me! But perhaps he has a beautiful soul.... Excellent shot, Lily. I love magic shops.

I am glad you found your way back to this place. It's so important to put magic in one's life once in a while.

That is a very grotesque mask, I would not want to meet the person wearing it in a dark alley. Great photo though.

I wouldn't like to bump into this one on a dark night or in the daytime, for that matter. LOL!

I remember a magic store in the 60s on Third Avenue. It's no longer there, I believe.

Glad you finally found the fangs and costume. The store sounds like a fun place to visit. ;-)

Whoa! Now that's a scary thing to find on your computer screen! Since it's nowhere near Halloween, I have to wonder why Ian wants fangs—although they are definitely "in" these days.

Hi everyone!
This ghoulish man was positioned right at the front door. Even though he's creepy you can't help but laugh as you enter into the store.

Alexa,
Ian went to a sweet sixteen where each guest was asked to dress as a specific character; vampire, ninja or pirate. He would rather have been a pirate but I think the authentic looking fangs helped make up for it!

I'm sure if this is the one, but there is a magic shop in Bethpage, 107 across from Grumman or Cablevision or whatever that bldg/lot is now.

The model certainly is creepy! A good pair of fangs is apparently hard to come by.
