water tower at night with reflections

yesterday started out pretty enough then before noon the sky turned grey and drizzly. so when the sun made a very late afternoon appearance I went to my favorite beach. it was late so I stayed until they shut the lights off (har-har).
anyway, this is what the water tower looks like reflected off of the sand. I try my best to ignore the other tower.
if you'd like to see more reflections or join in the fun, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful 'weekend reflections' meme. thanks james!

Hi Lily,
That's a beautiful shot, nice fading light...

And funny, we posted our links almost simultaneously... when I went to Linky, yours wasn't there, but it had appeared in the few seconds it took me to create the link... synchronicity...

Have a great weekend...

How lovely! The gold has changed to pink in the water!

Those little points of light can be so comforting at night. You can stand way off and have your privacy, yet you know that something is there for you. The power is on.

Beautiful capture, there is just something soothing about reflections at night.
Pablo Neruda called this the sapphire, azure night sky. I never paid attention to night skies being blue until reading Neruda. You nailed it here. Blue indeed. Tranquil....... Until you think about the business of a tower getting signals and all......

Wonderful night image, Lily. I think the other tower is a repeater, isn't it?
Happy Sunday!

I just caught up with all your posts and especially love all the beach shots. Has it been outrageously muggy down there or has the water kept you cool?
