Angelo's pizza

one word, yummy! desperate for a quick lunch after a late music lesson, it was our good fortune when we happened upon this place by accident. it's located next door to the tj maxx on glen cove road in carle place. we didn't think much of the fact that it was stuck in the corner of a shopping center where their was virtually no parking, but it turned out the extra 5 minute walk to our car was oh so worth it. my two favorite slices are grandma's pizza and ala vodka pizza. the crust is so thin and the sauce is so good! where do you go to get pizza?

When we want pizza, we head west to Lindenhurst to...I don't even know the name of it (!) but it's in the strip mall that shares a parking lot with Outback in Lindenhurst - sort of at the intersection of Sunrise Hwy and Wellwood Ave. They have a great selection, and everything I've had is great. Usually I have them cut a single slice in HALF, and I have half then, and half later, cuz they're so full of stuff!

We had pizza tonight for dinner! It was frozen from Safeway. boo...hiss. They're nice to have in a pinch when you're too tired to either cook or go out. When we were in NY for our marriage we had yummy pizza at Johns Too on Bleecker Street. The slices were huge. In Portland, Oregon, there is a great place called "Escape from New York Pizza" with guys who throw the dough and a tiny little space with stools and tables, walls covered with all things NY, and The Times to read. We love stopping in when we're in the city.

I love trying new pizza places. thanks Morty and Islipian.

Lydia, it's funny to me how NY is known for their pizza. many people claim it's the water. I never really eat pizza when I leave NY so I don't really have much to compare it too.
I've eaten at delicious John's pizza too!

I love a good pizza place. I've tasted pizza in different places and I really believe NY has the beat pizza. ;-)

I love thin crust pizzas. There are a couple of places in the city to get them but one of my favorite places to take people is L'Ulivo in SoHo. It's a super classy restaurant but the prices are affordable.

That said, when I was in California, my brother took me to California Kitchen (pizza chain) and I loved it. They have delicious wacky toppings like BBQ chicken, teriyaki salmon, etc.

This post would be a great one for Ruby Tuesday! A beautiful photo, and bet the pizza was great, too. I grew up in Queens and miss the pizza.

La Scala on the corner of Vanderbilt Parkway and Commack Road, in the shopping center next to McDonalds. I live in Brooklyn but was in LI and just stopped there yesterday for a couple of slices, pizza tastes the same it did 25 years. Awesome! Best plain slice in the world, and I've eaten pizza all over the world!
