this is my down to the wire, 49 minutes left of sunday, shadow shot sunday contribution! I seem to have caught my son's fever and sore throat! I hope I don't get his pink eye too! so I slogged through my day and last night none too well. of course I had to stay up to watch mad men. I think I've become addicted to the show. from now on I am going to record it with the dvr...too many commercials.
on a side note, and more importantly, did you ever think rome had palm trees? check out their shadows on these beautiful buildings over by the spanish steps. can you imagine my excitement when I saw these luscious shadows right there in front of me just waiting to be included in the infamous shadow shot sunday meme over at hey harriets?

thank you tracy, from hey harriet's shadow shot sunday meme. please go here if you'd like to participate or see more shadow shots. have a great sunday everyone.

I did know about Roman palm trees—but never managed to get a wonderful shadow shot like this. Well done, Lily!

I'd completely forgotten about the palm trees! I love that you've captured them as shadows, Lily. And I hope you all feel better soon. {Pink eye? aieee!}

The 'infamous SSS meme' ...hehe. I'm not sure about that, but hey it sounds good! ;) I never really think of palm trees when I think of Rome so this shot is a nice surprise to me! What awesome shadows you captured!!! I'm so sorry to hear you've been unwell. I hope you feel better soon. Repeated viewings of Mad Men I am sure will help with the recovery process :D

Rome and palm trees certainly seem to be worlds apart! But this shadow shot highlights that this strange combination can get together very artistically! Great photo!

I always thought Rome has palm trees! What else could be there? Those palm shadows are so beutiful on that wall. Take care with the flu.
