a manhattan bridge in the sky

Manhattan Sky Bridge

a pedestrian bridge floats over 32nd street in manhattan just down the block from penn station. I walk under this as I make my way to the station when I travel back to long island by train. I love how the woman in red is looking straight into my camera.
please pop on over to san francisco bay daily photo to check out the "sunday bridge series". thanks for hosting louis la veche!

those walkways connecting buildings are really useful, especially when it's raining or too hot to walk outside.

I've seen pedestrian bridges on buildings here, but none that high!
Love your bridge shot. The angle of the shot reminds me of scifi scenes where the mutant reptile is lumbering towards the good people of Gotham, trying to do them harm.

Not all bridges are over water, are they. These building-to-building kind are so useful in extreme climates, and yours is marvelous.

Not much sky to gaze at in this one. Must be quite taxing living in a city that never seems to slow down.

How do you get away from it all?

Interesting to see how bridges are added later on for convenience. Great shot!

Love this shot, but would hate to deal with all the activity in such a large city. The girl in red doesn't look too happy with you taking her picture (lol)

Great contribution to the Sunday Bridges meme, Lily!

The woman in red's expression seems to be saying "Get that day-um camera away from me!"

As much as I love Manhatten I just can't stand being there when it's hot so I glad brave souls like you take great pictures. :)

We have a few of those around Sydney too. Not necessarily beautiful but functional.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Like these bridges between buildings. NO need to fight the traffic, risk my life as I cross the road.

The bridge looks very high up from this angle. I might be a little afraid to walk across it. LOL

ha, it doesn't look nearly as hot as usual. Ugh, the city gets so terrible!
