that is, if it is a rose. I am not entirely certain, but if it is, its orange center looks very unique to me. does anyone know if this is indeed a rose? we inherited this bush when we purchased our home. this is the most blooms it has ever had so I had to share it with you. today is abc wednesday, and the letter is U. if you'd like, please go here to see more U representations. but most importantly, have a good wednesday!

Unexpected surpise bloom. I am so rubbish when it coming to identifying flowers, but I do know pretty when I see it.

That looks like a rosa rugosa - I have no idea which variety! They usually smell wonderful, and are very thorny. I love them, but my two attempts to grow them failed and they died. They make excellent 'vandal proof' bushes or burglar deterrents!

It is a rose bush, I wonder if its what we call a Beach Rose because it grows rather prolificly at the shore ...

I think it might be 'Veilchenblau' also know as Blue Rambler. Here is a link

I'm a complete moron when it comes to flowers and their names. But I do love that color. The more peculiar or unusual a flower is, both in terms of color and shape, the more I like it.

By the way, thanks so much for answering my question about being blocked. Very interesting and helpful!

I'm in the ranks of the flowername-ignorant also, but I love the color combinations for whatever it's called!
