and the freaky weather continues...

yesterday rain accompanied the commuters rushing to catch their trains. it was a grey wet monday morning. by early evening the only evidence of rain were the puddles on the street. the railroad station and its parking lot were almost entirely cordoned off from the regulars in order to make way for all of the ticket holders coming into town for the us open. no one seemed to mind. with so little space for people to wait to pick up their commuters, everything seemed to move quite smoothly. there were lots of police directing people and traffic and a white tent set up where people could wait for a shuttle bus to take them to the golf course. hopefully there will be sunshine the rest of this week for the golfers!
this is a part of what is happening in my world, if you'd like to see what is happening in other places around the globe, please go here.
thank you Klaus & your team, sandy, ivar, wren, fishing guy & louise for that's my world!

It can change quickly, can't it? We've had some similar weather in Seattle! Great shots!

Our weather here is blah...its almost summertime, but the sun has not come out too much. It has been so gloomy for almost two weeks.

That's some change in weather in such a short time. It's best that it rains after the weekend and not during. Lovely photos.
You could turn your house into a B&B for those out-of-towners to reduce the traffic congestion. :-)

I have mostly rain here too, so don´t send any more this way!

You still have the most scenic electric lines of all blogosphere.

The way traffic is handled in NY always amazes me - Especially in view of the chaos that reigns down here in southern NJ. I guess the answer is that NY has traffic cops who do nothing else. Our police get assigned to traffic every so often, and don't seem to know how to handle it.
We are not ones for freaky flash floods here so this is strange to me, but a great photo op.

And it seems to be world wide. We never had a June as cold and rainy as this one.

Yesterday, I was caught in the rain twice... actually three times. In the morning, walking the dog and going to work and then in the late afternoon after work, returning home. *sigh* What a wet day.

Sounds like our weather here too. Heavy rains in the morning and evening, hot, bright sun at noon.

Stay dry!

We had gorgeous weather for the local fete on Sunday and then yesterday we had tremendous thunder-storms so much the same here too.

Hasn't the weather been strange! I'm so tired of rain! I'm glad we are having a little sun today. It was quite a sudden downpour yesterday.
