if you click on this photo the sign is much easier to read

after the recent passing of our beloved kitty sylvia, my heart sank when I saw this sign posted all over the town of farmingdale. losing a pet is difficult enough, losing one and not knowing what may have become of a dear pet, I think, is worse. please, if anyone knows anything about this little doggy, please call the number listed above.

Oh, I do know how you feel, Lily! And I do agree. I hope someone knows something that will help them find their little friend!

It's kind of you to help in the search for this dog, Lily. It is a heartbreaking thing to lose a pet.

Oh Lily, seeing those posters must be extra-hard for you right now. So sad. I hope someone who knows something sees your post or one of the signs. This little lady needs to be home with her family. x
A dear friend of ours said, "Don't give up until you find a body." Two weeks later, we got a call from a little lady who had read one of our posters (by her church by our house) and called from several miles away with our beloved cat.

She said he was so wonderful that if he wasn't ours, she and her husband had decided to keep him. Totally honest people. Wouldn't even take a dime for feeding our cat for two weeks and caring for him.

Hoping for a happy ending in your town. Interesting when one doesn't learn the end of a story. By the way, we replaced our "lost" posters with "found" posters!

All this and let me not forget to say, so sorry about the loss of your pet. They are loved like a member of the family!

Oh, I hope they find her. That's so good of you to publicize their plight. My heart goes out to the owners. I'm so sorry for the loss of your pet too.

I've been seeing so many posters like that in our neighborhood lately. I feel like something weird is going on; I never saw so many lost pet posters last year.

I sure hope this pup is found .. it is so hard to lose a pet .. I know Sylvia is very much missed ...
I hope the owners are reunited with their lost pet! I once found a dog that was running lose and fund who he belonged to in a poster like that, and my friend also had luck finding her dog when he ran away from her backyard by advertising it with a poster, so I have hope that all will turn out well!

I saw a few of these posters on Saturday. Went out to Farmingdale for a party and walked a couple of miles from the train station to my friends' house. Found myself looking around in hopes of spotting this dog—just hope someone does and returns her to her family.

Thank you for posting this photo of Josie - she is still missing and we are desperately trying to find her. Please everyone in the Farmingdale area please keep looking for her - we think that someone may have her and are not aware that we are looking for her. It was reported that a man was seen walking her in the area of Conklin and Cherry Sts on saturday. She is a small shih-tzu/terrier mix - about 10 pounds. We are offering a reward and we are not giving up hope. Please call 866-401-HELP with any information. Thank you.

This little dog is a rescue. It was brought to a new adopted home but slipped away. The rescue has been searching non stop for two weeks for this little mill baby....please please tell everyone you know. This dog has never known a loving kind home except in the hands of the rescue. We never give up looking for a lost baby and need all the help we can get.

Theresa, don't give up! I found what Greensboro Daily Photo said to be very encouraging. I truly hope this helps.
Hopefully the man who was walking her will see one of the posters and call this number. I will post this photo on my sidebar for the next few weeks just in case someone stumbles across it who may have some information.

Lily, I am so sorry to hear of your beloved kitty's passing. Thank you for caring about our little Josie who is out there somewhere, just waiting to come home. Being the closest person in my rescue group to the area, and I am about 1 1/2 hours away, I have been out to Farmingdale searching many many times. I continue to be pleasantly surprised by the wonderfully caring people in Farmingdale. We have had people who have seen Josie and fed her, she is too scared to be captured but we have high hopes that will all the good people out there with an eye out for Josie, she will be safe at home with her sister from the same litter, Rosie very soon.
