cold spring harbor laboratory

please click on photo to see more detail

those brightly colored buildings grouped together are actually the cold spring harbor laboratory. a private nonprofit research and education institute, it is the home to seven nobelists, as well as one of the world's most influential cancer research centers. as I read their website I was astounded to learn of their truly amazing work taking place right here on long island. I urge you to check it out here.

A lovely view especially when enlarged. I'd like to see this view in a few weeks with even more colors.

Fascinating. Did you know what you were shooting or did you research it after?

Seven nobelists, you say? Well, there's another Long Island cliché debunked. Nice shot, too.

I've never been to Cold Spring harbor, Lily but I think it's not too far from me in Queens. Thanks for commenting on my TGT! :)

James, that is a great idea. I hope I find my way back there to do so!

I had an inkling it was the Lab but I didn't remember there being so many buildings so yes I did do a google search!

Thanks Alexa!

Mary, they have some really pretty trails nearby where you can go hiking in the hills too.
