like a good cigar in a humidor...

please click on photo to enlarge for greater detail.

is what these guitars reminded me of over at guitar center in carle place. when you first enter the establishment, you can't help but notice a separate room with it's own door. specially made, the mostly wood room is where the center hangs all of their acoustic guitars. I thought the display was rather striking. once inside the room, we heard a few musicians playing some of these beautiful instruments. it was pretty neat. I thought the shadows the guitars created were neat too. if you'd like to see more beautiful shadows, please go here.

I played the guitar when I was a lass so this is wonderful to see. I loved the enlargement, everything looked warm and I swear I could smell the scent of the wood.

I do love guitars, and this photo is beautiful! I've collected guitar photos over the years and have some as screen savers. Wish I could play!

Oooh what a lovely display of guitars and their shadows. Hey our shots this week could pair up and create beautiful music together! Just as long as I'm not playing any of the instruments. Nothing beautiful about my playing. You were lucky to hear the guitars being played while in the store. I'm wondering if you play?

Happy SSS..
Not only is it a beautiful shadow shot...but we love the artistic arrangement you caught!
My son plays guitars, and it is so cool to go into these rooms when other musicians are there - strumming, or drumming away - a great way to spend some time!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi there from Queens, NY, sitting on the western end of your island! I make my way around Carle Place and other Long Island places... My shadow shot is from Whitestone! :)

Hey Harriet! I wish I could play... the musician in my house is my son. That was the reason I found Guitar Center.

What a great shot! It must've been wonderful hearing the musicians play.

I play piano and my oldest son plays piano and guitar.
