a skywatch study in contrasts

early this morning we had snow flurries that stuck to everything except the sidewalks and roads. by 11am all the snow was gone.

5pm I walked outside with priscilla and it looked like this.

today is skywatch friday, if you'd like to see more skies from all around the world or if you'd like to add your own sky, please go
here, thanks to klaus and his team, sandy, wren, fishing guy, and sylvia. happy skywatch friday everyone!

Beautiful, beautiful contrast! I love how the clouds are full of pink - like cotton candy!

Both are beautiful. I kept going back and forth then I remembered that I don't have to pick a favorite. :)

It was pretty while it lasted though, right? Like standing inside a snow globe. Love your contrasts.

Spectacular. Hard to imagine these two skies in one day! I love Priscilla's little coat, by the way. Have a great weekend, Lily!

Beautiful photos! It was snowing heavily on the North Fork yesterday as I headed west. It was all gone by the time I got to Riverhead.

Lovely photos, Not just the contrast in colors but in the feelings they envoke - cold and warm.

That is what my ToonMan would call a 'Spielberg' sky ... and that snow, how funny was it to see it falling so thick, fast .. only to melt away at least here . I did see on the news where it caused icy street/roads

Great contrast between the two. The snow scene is winter wonderful, but I really love the blue sky and pink clouds.
How beautiful~ It looks almost like a volcano would look under gentle conditions, breath taking colours in the clouds~
