flooded, covered in water. that would be long island as it rained most of yesterday. much of the rain being huge downpours like the type that an ordinary umbrella can't protect you from. if you click on this photo you can see just how wet the rain really was. if you click here you can see other representations of the letter A. so what do you think, has your summer had an extraordinary amount of rain?
a big thank you to mrs. nesbitt, host of the abc wednesday meme.

Lily, this year in Piedmont we haven't had much rain in summer but an extraordinary amount of snow in winter: the ski runs have been working till the 15th April at 1300m!
At the beginning, it just wouldn't quit. then we had a long stretch of very hot and dry. It rained yesterday, (but not like it did for you) and we were cheering because our gardens were desperate for it by then. Crazy summer!
It's days like that I just want to remain in bed all day! Here we had an unusual amount of rain in summer also. As much as I disliked the rain, we at least needed it as Australia was experiencing a drought for many years prior. The rain finally put an end to our very strict water restrictions :)
Well, you know it's been raining (too much) in Albany as well. Hail a few days ago.
I wore rain boots something I hate to do since it always seems to be sunny on the way home .. nevertheless it was really coming down yesterday .. great shot!
How it changes when it's enlarged,
looks like here a day or two ago...lol
great pic! the red car contrasts nicely with the grey, dreary, rainy day.
We had too much rain at the beginning of the summer but not enough lately. We're starting to feel awash in drought!
Great photo! Like the TV weather channel!
I like your choice for A. And I don't remember this much rain last summer. I don't mind too much—as long as it comes during the week and not on the weekend. :~}
We had tremendous rains here in Arkansas yesterday. 3 inches in 3 hours.

I like your use of A here.
We've had similar downpours here in England in the last couple of weeks. It makes it very difficult to take a rain-hating dog out for a walk, or even get him out into the garden! LOL!
