at the risk of sounding greedy, may we have some more sun please? I really do feel as if I live in england. today is another dreary grey day and the temperature has dropped as well. heck, it's probably sunnier and warmer in england. maybe I should forget the sun and just be grateful the world didn't end yesterday.
on a much brighter note, today's post is dedicated to shadow shot sunday. if you want to join in the fun, please visit hey harriet's shadow shot sunday meme. and a big thank you to tracy for hosting shadow shot sunday too.

The weather must be bad if you're comparing it to England. Just be thankful it isn't as bad as Scotland.
Oooh, a fire hydrant! I collect them on my blog.
Love the fire hydrant and its shadow! Had to laugh at the previous comment — I love Scotland, but it sure has a lot of rain. LOL

Even a fire hydrant looks elegant in sunshine!
MY BLINGLESS SHADOW
A shadow’s an odd sort of thing;
It might have a nose or a wing,
A tail like a dog,
A bump like a log,
But one thing it has not is bling!

Great color, and shadow!
Wow - what a great shadow - such detail!
I love the shadow, especially the chain
and I love the colors
nice capture...
Mighty lovely shadow, Lily. It's been grey here too for the past few days or so. In our autumn/winter, grey days usually mean higher temps, but I'm looking forward to the blue skies and sunshine in spite of the chill that will accompany them!
Love this photo.
Fabulous shot. The chains are striking.
I love this photo. Here, we're getting rain by the bucket!
One could play and find some analogies with the shadow. Fun!
I live in Southern California. And this springs, we too feel like we're living in England. Or we've been transported to Portland. It has been so rainy! But I'm not complaining. Once the white hot days of summer arrive - and they will! - we'll be begging for the rain's return.
