had I not previously read about santa con over at new york portraits, I would have had absolutely no idea what was going on saturday afternoon in midtown manhattan - santas were everywhere! apparently this is an annual tradition wherein santa replicates himself all over manhattan and from the looks of google, this happens in other countries as well. please check out kitty's blog here for more info about the event.

its a fun event .. last December I was in midtown and got some wonderful shots .. this year i was out and about only on the Upper West and Eastsides so my photo ops werent as great ... nonetheless its a fun idea and great photo op
Was in the city Saturday and spotted all the Santas - thanks for letting us know this is Santacon !
I got a few shots of Santas while I was out and about, but not any as good as yours. (Should have asked those five girls who were dressed as five golden rings to pose for me!)
ha. I knew this was going to happen on Saturday but just did not have it in me to go into town. ha!
