a bouquet of marigolds with something fiery red
I am not an expert gardener by any means but I do love to experiment. plus there is something about digging around the backyard that is so "grounding". I took a little time thursday evening to take some notes about what worked this year and what didn't. without fail I know enough to plant marigolds every spring since they always seem to have such hearty staying power right through autumn. and, I love their earthy smell. I wish I knew the name of this fiery red plant below. I've enjoyed it all summer but I think it might have grown even bushier if I had planted it in the ground. I remember seeing it and loving it when I visited borgo argenina a few years back. of course I just had to bring it home when I discovered it at our local nursery.

Your fiery red plant is a wonderful color. I've never seen anything like it.
