star magnolia

this flower sits on a tree with thousands of other equally beautiful yet unique flowers in front of a library in old westbury where my son attends school. I heard a lot about this tree from my dear boy. when I finally got to see it I could see why! I found its name by searching on the web and I was happy to discover a fellow blogger who wrote a post all about this beautiful flowering tree.

Hey, thanks for visiting my blog and I'm glad I helped you identify the star magnolia. The one at your son's school looks like the color is more pink than mine. Very pretty! It is a wonderful tree.

Thank you Phillip, I am so glad you like it! I am also happy I found your blog. I've just added it to my interesting places on my side bar. Now I will be able to visit you for a dose of daily inspiration.
I enjoy gardening & it is truly great therapy-I think that is why I like your blog's name so much-who doesn't like to play in the dirt!
Thanks again.
