long island poppies

thankfully the title of this post isn't the poppies actual name. with all the varieties of poppies I'm sorry I can't tell you which one this is but I love them. I wait for them to bloom every spring so I can go out to my backyard and look at them. they are so lively looking aren't they? it was just raining right before I photographed them and there they were alight in all their beauty!
