beautiful light

have you ever gone picture taking in the early morning sunlight? every once in a while I get the chance and usually the first place I head to is my garden. this is what I found there the other day, the echinacea flowers with lots of sun shining on them. I felt like I discovered a secret treasure as I snapped away, disbelieving my good fortune.

today is abc wednesday thanks to mrs. nesbitt and the letter for the day is B. please go here to join in the fun.

That flower is the one I shared for a photo project I'm doing... but I didn't know what it was and in the time I was researching on the internet, I couldn't find the name of it... And now, thanks to you, I know :)

I see your anonymous commenter is at it again. One reason why I changed to approval before publishing. You may find some porno showing up sooner or later.

But - your picture is just gorgeous. I love the way the light seems to change the color of the petals.

Some things are worth getting up early for—and an amazing photo to share with your blog pals is certainly one of them!
I love these flowers. We also call then purple cone flowers, though they are pink, not purple!
The early morning is my favorite time of day. I love photographing at that time. Your flower looks so pretty. What a beautiful color.

So that's what they're called! I noted a number of them on my job the other day, but didn't know their name, nor did I have my camera with me.
Lovely flower - lovely colour. A
