the shadows were abundant at tartine in the west village. it was as if the sun came out especially for us to enjoy as we sat in the cafe overlooking 11th street. for a wonderful little pick me up, we each had the sublime but not too sweet hot cocoa and split a huge almond croissant. it was the perfect antidote to all of the arctic weather we've been suffering through!

what a feel-good photo! I love it. especially that big round cup of cocoa. and the bright glow of light on the table.
No arctic weather here! (It's about 100 degrees!) But the fod and drink still sound delightful.
