Malachy, best in show!

Malachy-the Pekingese-Best-in-Show
somehow I knew this little guy was going to win!  it was so cute watching him "sort of running" beside his handler. the woman to the left in the picture below was the judge who picked malachy for "best in show"out of the last seven dogs. I loved hearing her say how much it meant to her as a native long islander taking part in the westminster dog show - she now lives in colorado.
I have to admit, I didn't think malachy was so cute when I first saw him, but after watching him compete, he really grew on me.
congratulations malachy!
check out this link kitty (from over at new york portraits) shared from the westminster dog show.
ps, thanks for such a warm welcome back everyone - it was a long last few months & I really missed connecting with all of you!

Malachy is cute. I'm sorry I missed the show on TV, especially as a friend's husband phoned to tell me it was on, but I was otherwise committed.
Yes, I've definitely missed you and your blog, and it's great to see you back.

I am not a fan of dogs like Malachy .. I wish that rescue Winmaraner (sp?) Maverick had won

That dog requires more grooming than I do! (But my hair is much shorter than Malachy's.) Did Priscilla have a favorite?

I didn't see the show either...usually I don't miss them.

!!!
I wish I'd seen this fellow in his element! They say that the winning dog has 'it', and that dogs have their better performance days.

I'm glad you're back, Lily. I was thinking about emailing you to see what was up.

Saw him on Yahoo. One day I'd like to go to this show to see all those gorgeous pups.

I still can't understand how they pick just one dog to be Best of Show!
