I'm not sure exactly what is happening to this building in long beach but my husband said it reminded him of the work of the great artist, christo. fellow blogger, daryl, from out and about in new york city, happened to post something about christo just yesterday. She has a wonderful shot of "the Gates" he & his wife created in manhattan's central park. you can go here if you'd like to check it out.

Reminds me of a building entirely wrapped in plastic that I saw two summers ago near where my mother lives. I think they were working on fixing up the inside before they did the exterior and wanted to protect it.
Chandler a to z had its own Cristo the other day! lol
That's true it does remind me of a Christo work. Your husband has a good eye!
Christo's big works have always made me feel uneasy - to me they seem to say something about man's ability to dominate and obliterate the environment. I seem to be the only person who thinks that, though!
