Wonderful composition, Lily! The white orchids with their shadows in the dark background make a very nice ensemble.
They look so much more stunning enlarged! These are exquisite! Oh and I'm absolutely smitten with your 'love refelctions' photo in your previous post! Sweeeeeeeeet :)
PS - Sorry to hear that you fell into a duck pond. I tried so hard to not giggle about that. But couldn't quite manage to stop myself. Photos would have been even better ;D
Gorgeous flowers and lovely shadows.
Beautiful orchids. Lovely shadow shot!
Gorgeous shadow shot! And just the image I need on this gray Sunday.
I love those Phalaenopsis ... someone gave me a plant a few years ago and sadly it didn't last past the last bud flowering .. but I have some nice pix to remind me.
What a perfect shot. They are gorgeous flowers anyway but this photo makes them more beautiful.
How perfect, Lily! Marvelous capture! Oh, and they do look like the promise of spring! Beautiful shadows! Have a great day!

This is a beautiful shot. I think it would make a lovely painting, too.
You fell in a duck pond? Oh my! Hope you're okay and definitely dry by now.

Come back home... we've missed you.
Beautiful flowers. Really nice detail.
yes they are truly perfect, I really liked them on my veranda in Florida...sigh...winter in Iowa!
they *are* lovely...
what did i miss about a duck pond??
I'm glad everyone liked the flowers!
About the duck pond incident, Tracy from Hey Harriet posted about an incident from her childhood where a fellow classmate was pushed into a duck pond by another child so I felt compelled to share how I had once fallen into a duck pond when I tried to jump across to an island.
I didn't elaborate on her blog but I had wanted to play with some rabbits I saw there. I was wearing a white dress. I remember looking down and seeing it coated with mud when I tried to get out of the water. I was only three (if that) and I loved that dress. I remember my brothers reactions were disbelief & then laughter after witnessing my attempt.
It always makes me smile when I think about it now.
PS
thanks everyone for your comments!
& Mark, you are very sweet!
LOVELY! love the orchids. Perfect!
Happy day...
