blue garden flowers, roses and busy little bees

Blue-Perennials-in-a-Spring-Garden

the cool thing about having perennials in your garden is being surprised when they come back even prettier than they were the year before. these two bees were actually so tiny I barely noticed them at first. the macro makes them appear so much bigger in this close up. does anyone know what the purpley blue flower is? I've only had them a couple of years and the name escapes me!
to share a part of your world or just see more of others, please go to "that's my world tuesday". a big thanks to klaus for hosting with his team of helpers, sandy, wren, and sylvia.

A kind of salvia perhaps? We had them in California. The light on the flowers is very nice.

My perennials worked twelve hour shifts, so I hardly ever saw them. It makes me appreciate your photos all the more.
I think that the Latin name for the purpley blue flower is Petalmus Purpulimus Blooimus. I hope that’s helpful.

Have a nice day, Boonie
