A Ginormous Mellow Yellow Thank You

Lily-Hydrangea's-Long-Island-Daily-Photo

Today's post is dedicated to all of the people who worked this last weekend keeping us all safe here on the East Coast during hurricane Irene. I feel extremely fortunate to have kept both our power and our phone service especially since people in our surrounding area are without both. God bless us everyone.
Below is a photo of the typical sort of damage you see in my neighborhood. Farmingdale didn't get too much flooding but we did get quite a few fallen trees.
As you can see, thankfully the Brown Eyed Susan's are still intact.

It's great to hear that you weathered the storm so well. Your flowers are the perfect cheery photo for the first Mellow Yellow Monday after the storm. Thanks for sharing it!

Glad to hear you came through the storm okay. My mom lost a big tree but, fortunately, it missed the house by a couple of inches! Love your friendly brown-eyed Susans, Lily.

I'm glad to see you came through the storm, OK! My brother and nephews that live in Nassau and Suffolk counties lost power for almost a week!
