the sun's handiwork

I used to grow sunflowers. now all I do is buy seeds and then forget about them until I come across them when it's too late to plant them. this is why I truly appreciate it when I find one that someone else planted. I am pretty sure whoever grew this one planted the one I posted here last year since it's in front of the same house in farmingdale. isn't she beautiful? here is a minute long time lapse of what happens to a sunflower's head once it gets big.
