please click on photo to see hazy sky and clouds. walking along the beach, this is what you see. it is the only "skyscraper" in the middle of the town of montauk-if you can call it that! it is actually a condominium.

That hotel has an interesting history ( well, it was meant to be a hotel ) . It was built by some wealthy guy who was trying to turn Montauk into a summer resort area . I don't know the exact years but long long ago . At the time his endeavor was a complete failure . ( he must be rolling over in his grave now). It sat in the middle of town for years and years empty . I'm glad to see that its been turned into living space and the veiws from the upper floors must be great as mm pointed out . Montauk is one of the greatest "hampton " towns in my opinion anyway . Much less pretentious then some of the others . allan
