long beach is a unique part of long island. it is a cozy beach community in that the majority of its residents live there year round. the island is small enough and built up enough where you can see the water from the street at certain points. I was at my friends house on sunday and when I came outside I saw the sky was getting real dark as if a storm was coming in. five minutes later I was driving home with giant raindrops pelting my windshield. everyone was leaving the beach at once. only moments before the sun was shining.
