happy st. patricks day!

this is one of my favorite houses in farmingdale when it comes to the holidays. for christmas they hang a giant wreath you can see here & for valentines day they decorate their window with hearts you can see here & for the last couple of weeks they have lit up their window with pretty shamrock lights as seen in the above photo. nice, isn't it?

I'm not irish, but I love st. patty's day. maybe it is because I have many good irish friends. if you'd like to share a bit of your own world, or just see what is going on in other parts of the world, please go here to join in the fun at the "that's my world" meme created by klaus.
have a safe and happy st. patrick's day everyone.

Wonderful window!

I made green risotto for St. Patrick's Day (if you're interested you can find it on my food blog). I was pleasantly surprised that it came out really well. Yay!

Happy St. Patty's! It is something that we here in the northern countries do not celebrate, but I think it is interesting! Great photo and thank you for your visit!

I'm not Irish either so I have to confess that Tuesday down under was a busy day with nought a thought about St Paddy's day. Instead I cleaned out the gutters, way up high on the ladder, raked up all the acorns, added to and turned the compost heap, did three loads of laundry, cleaned the windows and fed the cats (2 x 1; 3 x 3) and I cut my hair too. I was so pooped that I told my husband he would have to cook dinner which he did: bacon, scrambled eggs and baked beans, canned apricots and custard and then, to top it off, a hot cross bun with butter. Yum! I felt quite indulged as I sat up in bed watching TV and digging in, with a burmese cat by my side under the doona.
I do hope that your day is going somewhat better!

That's so cute! I just noticed last night a house here had three large lit shamrocks. Noticed a little too late. :(
