one year ago today I started long island daily photo. I didn't realize until about a week ago that I started this blog on the first day of spring. happy spring everyone! today also happens to be skywatch friday, one of my favorite memes. looking back over my last year of posts I thought it would be nice to revisit some of my favorite long island skies to celebrate today. it was hard to pick just four since I have loved virtually every sky I have photographed for LIDP. these pictures do however, hold a special place in my heart. starting at the top left, the beach on a winter day where I gathered with family for a special memorial, the tree in my neighborhood that hearkens back to my childhood, the early autumn leaves of the rose of sharon in my backyard, and the dune grasses along robert moses beach on a balmy hot summer day. I hope you have enjoyed visiting long island here at LIDP as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you.
